Viewing pictures of tarantulas for sale online gives you access to myriad bizarre and colorful varieties just not found in stores. ArachnoHobby carries the most popular, striking species of spiders and other arachnids that we've found to be "must haves", with relatively obscure collector's species on the way by the end of the year. Captive bred spiders are always well established before sale, and any wild caught specimens have been observed feeding and getting settled, likewise.

Tarantulas, scorpions, etc. typically ship that day or the following day, unless it's nearing the end of the week or a holiday (nobody wants their arachnids stored in parcels in shipping hubs for extended periods). Your package is then due to arrive the very next day, via DHL Express, with open channels of communication along the way to keep you advised and/or fulfill particular requests. We delay shipment due to weather conditions only if they pose a threat to your pet tarantula, scorpion, etc. Heat packs work wonders for cold climates, at no extra cost to you.

The term "pet" is used a bit loosely here. You'll note in some of the descriptions or cautions regarding some species that they are recommended as display animals intended for experienced keepers, zoos, or educational institutions. Please view the "Cautions" area before deciding on one, and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the Sales Terms and Policies toward the bottom of this document, as the buyer is responsible for doing so.

This service is provided for your online safety and savings as well as ours.

Sales Terms and Policies:

The buyer is responsible for familiarizing him/herself with and complying with any local, state, and federal wildlife laws. The buyer agrees not to hold ArachnoHobby responsible for any harm that results from the buyer's purchase and keeping of invertebrates. The buyer should know the care requirements of the specific species being purchased prior to making an order. For information, visit an Internet site that specializes in information regarding the care and husbandry of arachnids, such as those listed in the Care or Cautions sections.

Spider sizes are approximate and are based on the distance from the tip of Leg I (front leg) to the tip of Leg IV (back leg) on the same side. For scorpions, centipedes and millipedes, sizes are approximate overall length from head to tail.

The buyer's chance of receiving a specimen of one sex or another are roughly 50/50 (unless specified otherwise), which is to say that lifestock never comes from a population which has been selectively depleted of females, guranteed. When and if we sex specimens, we do it to larger "leftovers", speparate them all then (and only then) and sell/trade them as such or retain them for breeding purposes.

Live arrival guarantee: with next day delivery, live arrival is guaranteed unless stipulated in advance. ArachnoHobby is not responsible for shipments left outside, thus unattended by both the shipping company and recipient. The recipient must watch for the delivery person, post a note for them to ring the doorbell, etc. (preferably both)! A locked, unwatched gate and similar conditions are unacceptable. Invertebrates will not survive if left outside in the heat or cold. Applicable replacements cover the cost of the animal and do not include shipping costs. If the animal is a bonus or reward, no replacements or substitutions will be made. Shipping charges are not covered. USPS Express Mail deliveries are not guaranteed. All claims for DOA's (Dead On Arrivals) must be made the day the box arrives, and the deceased animal must be returned to Arachnohobby prior to any replacement. Replacments are granted pending the buyer reshipping the DOA invertebrate (shipping charges are not included, but need not be expensive when shipping non-living items). DOA's are seldom, but they do occur from time to time.
